Why Tower Factory Is Trending Right Now
Tower Factory launched in November 2024 to strong reviews (87% positive from 498 players), but the playerbase is evaporating: 24h peak is just 103 concurrent players with a -52% decline over the last 7 days. The genre mashup worked on launch, but player retention collapsed fast.
This is a niche blend of Factorio automation and Bloons TD-style tower defense — a genuinely unique hybrid targeting strategy fans who want both factory building and combat. If you're into Kingdom Rush, Creeper World, or SimCity-style resource management, the gameplay loop here is thoughtfully designed, even if the community size tells a different story.

What the Community Is Saying
Players love the genre mashup — multiple reviewers called it 'the Factorio and Bloons TD hybrid,' hitting both factory-building and tower-defense itches. The main pain points: steep learning curve early on and no controller support.
It's the lovely child of Factorio and Bloons Tower Defense. Very satisfying
This game is in my Top5 of tower defense games, together with GemCraft Chasing Shadows, Creeper World 3 and 4 and the Kingdom Rush series. It has a very unique way of creating resources (for a td game) that also scratches the building and resource management itch. There is also a very satisfying roguelite mechanic.
Good balance of TD combined with "factory" and resource management. Can be a bit frustrating at first until getting the hang of game mechanics. I use the pause button a lot!
If you're a fan of tower defense games, please try this game out! The only thing it's missing is controller support!!!
The early game is great! If possible, it would be awesome to add a clickable mini-map showing all points of interest, including unopened chests. It would also be very helpful to display, at each castle entry, how many resources we’ve collected and how much more we can store before reaching the limit.of each entry
