Why Street Fighter 6 Is Trending

Street Fighter 6 is trending on TrendingGames.gg with 34,059 players at 24-hour peak — remarkable for a fighting game that launched in June 2023. Capcom has kept the game alive with a steady drip of new DLC fighters and seasonal content, and the competitive scene is as active as ever in 2026.

Why now? Two things are driving the current spike. First, Capcom launched a Rental Fighter Tickets campaign (Feb 10–25, 2026) that lets players test additional characters for free — this reliably pulls lapsed players back to re-evaluate their roster choices. Second, Capcom announced that Alex, the third Year 3 DLC fighter, joins the game on March 17, 2026. Alex brings over 10 throws, multiple new stances, and direct links from Street Fighter III — his arrival has the competitive community in research mode right now, looking up tier lists, matchup data, and re-engaging with the game ahead of the launch window.

With 19,140 players reviewing it Very Positive on Steam and an even larger playerbase on PlayStation and Xbox, SF6 has cemented itself as the defining fighting game of this generation. Whether you're a complete beginner using the Modern controls or a tournament-level competitor on Classic, the game serves both audiences exceptionally well. Its World Tour single-player mode is the best story mode in the series, and the Battle Hub brings a genuine arcade atmosphere to online play.

Possibly the best fighting game of all time. This is the go to fighting game for people coming into the genre.

The game is pretty beginner friendly. Overall really fun. The fighter coins currency sucks and the dlcs are pricey. And as expected the game takes up a lot of space. The story mode is just meh besides meeting the characters. But the combat is fresh and fun, with a lot of cool…

After not playing fighting games since MK3 and SF2 back in the day I will say there is quite the learning curve BUT so far I've enjoyed my time learning this game. For the past 8 months I've been playing MK1 and I've slowly transitioned over to SF6 and Tekken 8 to change things…

This game should be named "Ryu Modern Fighter 6" because tons of Ryus and modern players in online (casual/ranked) just to ruin your average game time after working and studying all day. Definitely the best gaming experience 20/10. Btw, Capcom, don't forget to buff Ryu!

My story with this game: Am kinda new to fighting games in general (I basically only play FPS games), tried the demo and loved it. Decided to buy it on sale and started with world tour... I proceeded to destroy everyone which made me feel powerful. Then decided to play online,…

Game looks extremely blurry and bad due to the game using forced TAA and Chromatic Aberration which you cannot disable. DLCs are extremely expensive as well
