A fun walking simulator where you go through a foggy town trying every single door knob you find to figure out if it actually works. Seriously, though, it's a pretty good remake of the original game. I got way more into the combat than I expected so it almost felt more like a fighting game than a horror game for me, but I didn't mind. Please include James as the next guest character for Tekken 8.
This is one of the most tense and terrifying horror games I've ever played. The audio design is simply top-notch. I was under a lot of stress right up until the end. The game, the environments, the sounds, the ambient music, the atmosphere constantly weigh heavily on you. And yet, there are almost no jump scares. The story is also good. It's worth playing and getting to know this game just for that reason. After this, I won't want to play horror games for a long time.
I didn't expect this, but this game was the journey I needed at this time in my life. Genuinely one of the best games I've played to date. I will not elaborate: play the game, see for yourself.
I was there when the original came out. I still love that game, made a tremendous impact on me. With that being said, I can 100% tell whoever is thinking about playing this, that THIS is the way to go. It's a beautiful remake and the superior version. If you've never experienced Silent Hill, now is the time! 9/10
The Story is awesome. The combat is decent. The shooting is good. but man this game is super unoptimized. I would go a good amount of time without any lag, on a single player of all games. Then all of a sudden immense stutter and lag, that I would have to wait till it passed, and the game would run smoothly again. This would happen randomly without any reason at all. Overall, the game is great, but not worth playing or replaying with how bad it runs.
