This is NOT a remaster. It's the original game with 4K, HDR, DLSS, and FSR support. The game is as great as it ever was and feels amazing with mouse and keyboard. That said, this should NOT be priced at $50. I got it on sale for $25 and would have never bought it at full price. If you are someone who has never experienced this game before, this would be the best and "definitive" way of playing it. But $50 for a game from 2010 is absurd IMO. Catch it on sale.
This game is so good and the deadeye is so easy to use. Just like its prequel, it's a literary masterpiece.
I havent even completed 50% of the game and yet it is awesome story game, i have heard that rdr2 is better, so Im excited even more. Overall I love this masterpiece.
Red Dead Redemption
Interesting story. I really liked it. The game didn't seem very interesting at first but when I continued playing and got into the story it felt pretty good. It's also good that this was released on Steam. I highly recommend it if you like games like this
good game if you want to know how the story unfolds after RDR2 but playing it after the second game you can clearly see in how many ways it is worse. After a few hours in I didn't really care about it anymore and just enjoyed the story and the game as it is a completly different experience than RDR2.
I somewhat enjoyed the game after having played RDR2 for a few hundred hours in the last couple of years. It's not necessarily a bad game by modern standards, but the amount of bugs and the janky NPC AI should not be acceptable considering this game costs €50. If Rockstar priced this game like Max Payne 3 and GTA 4, which are about as old as Red Dead Redemption, my review would have probably been positive.
