About Petrix
Petrix You are a leucocyte. The battlefield is a petri dish. The enemy is everything else. Dive through procedurally-escalating Rifts, fighting off swarms of viruses, bacteria, and fungi as you build toward devastating late-game power. Every kill earns Aether and Mutagen — spend them between dives at your Safe Zone to permanently reshape how you fight. Choose your mutation. Commit to one of four elemental paths — Fire, Frost, Lightning, or Shadow — each with its own skill tree and a run-defining Tier 4 ultimate: scorch the arena with Solar Flare, freeze it solid with Absolute Zero, chain lightning through Tesla Storm, or vanish and strike with Shadow Shroud. Face down real bosses. Four boss archetypes — Virus, Bacteria, Fungus, and Splitter — each fight differently and demand different answers. Push deep enough and you'll face two at once in a full-blown Outbreak. Arm yourself. Stack up to seven auxiliary weapons alongside your beam — chain lightning, deploy turrets and mines, launch homing missiles, summon orbiting satellites, and more — and find the combinations that turn a desperate dive into a one-cell army. Learn what you're fighting. Every boss and mutant strain you defeat unlocks an entry in the Compendium — real microbiology, decoded one kill at a time. Key Features: Four mutation paths with deep, exclusive skill trees and unique Tier 4 ultimates Four core boss archetypes plus elemental variants, with dual-boss Outbreak fights in deeper Rifts Seven auxiliary weapons to mix and match alongside your primary beam A 50-entry Compendium of real microbiology, unlocked through play Full gamepad and keyboard/mouse support Steam achievements
