Megabonk — Is It Worth Playing in 2026?

The game is fun but holy, is this game frustrating. I play a ton of roguelikes, but it feels like your weapon options are so limited if you want a run over 50k kills. I wish theyd buff or rework weapons or tomes that arent used as much. Especially since you can toggle items on and off, it just feels like I get them to never use them which kinda sucks

This game is like crack, once you try it you won't be able to stop! Game is so much fun but coop would make it even more fun!

I'm not going to get a negative review but I will say that this game is so so much fun. But the last boss of the areas and the way its handled is enough to make me drop this game. I won't spoil it, because maybe you'll find it fun. But it just sort of came down to "Hope you built this character the way I wanted you to. Also this is going to be a slow slow slow slog. Have fun?"

I had so much fun just playing and trying to break this game, there's some crazy combinations you can do for super high scores that almost had my PC melting. But even at a casual level, I really liked the structure the game provides with goals and challenges clearly explaining how to unlock items and characters. Very excited to see what is added in the future!

Fun and addictive roguelike game! Megabonk is a fast and chaotic survival game where every run feels different. There are many characters, items, and upgrades, so you can try new builds each time. The combat is simple but very fun. Sometimes the game depends a lot on luck, but that makes it exciting. Great game for quick sessions. 10/10 – I recommend it!

It’s good, but once you get to desert tier 3 it feels like the developers threw in some cheap tracking beams as a way to bump up the difficulty. I enjoyed it up until 40 hours and then it just became frustrating, but not in a good way.
