This game made me have an emotional roller coaster in 2 hours of "WE'RE SO BACK!" to "its so over" and "HE'S THE GOAT" being in tough situations and coming back is a phenomenal feeling.
This game had me stressed out on the beginning, until I learned all my troops are disposable. You can sink in hours without noticing, great game.
There's not much to say about Darkest Dungeon that hasn't already been said. It's a masterpiece of storytelling, gameplay, art and music. It will make you laugh, scream, and cry for a great variety of different reasons, both good and bad. Play it (Note: my hours are often un-synced with my Steam Deck for some reason. I have around 600 hours at the time of this review, more accurately.)
I love this game but it is very stressful. I cried like 10x times because of this game but I recommend playing it just to test how strong you are.

Something is badly wrong with the implementation of steam services in the game. At every auto-save the game freezes for varying lengths of time, indicating a thread is deadlocked somewhere. The only workaround is to play the non-steam version the devs have included which does not support cloud saves or achievements.
