Why 20XX Is Trending Right Now

20XX isn't trending by player count—it hit 0 peak players in the last 24 hours with flat 7-day trends—but this roguelike is a hidden gem worth rediscovering. With a 92% positive rating across 3,116 reviews and a bargain $2.24 price tag, it delivers solid Mega Man-style action that still resonates with players years after its August 2017 release.

Unlike newer roguelikes, 20XX lets you play at your own pace with two distinct heroes and different playstyles. It strips Mega Man down to its core: tight platforming, boss rushes, and power-ups—no weapon menus, no flow-breaking pauses. Perfect for roguelike and platformer fans willing to learn a steep curve, especially with a co-op partner.

Players rave about tight controls, Mega Man-inspired design, and co-op fun—especially at the price. Main criticism: short story (6 hours) and a punishing learning curve that frustrates newcomers.

The learning curve is steep for sure, but you also have two different heroes with different playstyles available and you can play most of the game at your own pace. The bosses change depending on order and once you figure out your weakness, you can adapt easily. Total recomendation.

GREAT GAME BUT TOO LITTLE CONTENT. Beaten in 6 hours with only grindy unlocks left to explore. Really craving more. Played using a PS5 controller just fine despite the ominous XBox 360 controller warning. VERY tight controls, REALLY scratches the Mega Man itch. *Recommendation* Get it on sale and it's great fun for your money.

This is exactly what it looks like. Rogue-like Mega Man. The only features removed from the Mega Man formula are things that I can frankly do without, such as managing the energy of 8+ weapons and flow-breaking pausing to find the weapon for the specific enemy.

Fun mega man feeling game. Once you figure out what you are supposed to do. Might be better if they ease all the options in for you as I was confused on what to do at the start.

God, why only $1 for this gem?! This game is worth full price, guys!
