Why Wreckfest Is Trending Right Now
Wreckfest is climbing with a +16% 7-day trend and 2,994 peak players, maintaining 'Very Positive' status with 88% approval across 23,773 reviews. At $2.99, this demolition derby racer is one of the cheapest high-rated games on Steam—the active multiplayer community keeps growth steady.
Unlike Forza's sim-racing, Wreckfest leans into chaos—soft-body damage, destructible physics, and fun AI make it stand out for arcade racers who want destruction over realism. It's built for players who want to crash, not grip; the multiplayer 'bus in reverse' clips speak for themselves.
Key Stats
What the Community Is Saying
Players rave about soft-body physics, fun AI opponents, and chaotic multiplayer chaos—the 'bus in reverse' strategy is legendary. Main complaint: arcade handling feels too loose for simulation purists, and the 2,994-player peak keeps it niche.
After a decade loving the Flatout series, I can confidently say that this is the acme, not only of the franchise, but of arcade racing in general. Fun, loud, as hard as you want to make it, great on a gamepad. I only wish it still had Sofia Martinez. You know I can't quit you, girl.
Great game even if you typically do not go for racing games. The damage modeling is great especially on realistic. There is a fun Career mode and also active sweaty multiplayer if you are into that.
I love Wreckfest because the AI are fun to play with, something that lacks in Forza 6. I play with manual and clutch and i just alternate between difficulties but expert difficulty is perfect for reasons I don't understand.
How to enjoy the game. step 1: Join multiplayer. step 2: Pick bus vehicle. step 3: Drive in reverse and run into multiple vehicles, crashing them. step 4: Read all of their chat. like this game played 7hrs after purchased. 10/10
Fun game, physics are actually really nice. Great game especially on sale.
fun for 5min games pretty trash tbh, they took out the cool ♥♥♥♥ from the beta and left the slop
