Why We Were Here Forever Is Trending Right Now
We Were Here Forever maintains a strong 94% positive review score from 6,432 players, establishing it as a beloved co-op title. It's still pulling 868 peak players in a 24-hour period despite releasing in 2022. However, the -62% 7-day trend reveals significant recent player decline, raising questions about long-term community stability.
This is the third entry in the We Were Here series and reviewers consistently crown it the best—praised for tighter puzzle design, improved visuals, and an emotionally resonant ending. It's built for co-op enthusiasts who value collaborative problem-solving over action. At $7.19, it's an accessible entry into one of Steam's most acclaimed puzzle franchises.

What the Community Is Saying
Players love the best-in-series puzzle design, improved visuals, and unexpectedly emotional story conclusion. The main criticism: puzzle difficulty imbalance, where one player often ends up doing most of the thinking while the other executes their solution.
This series is one of the best on steam. Puzzles are just hard enough to get you to really think or be mad at your friend for not thinking and if you did something wrong of course it wasnt your fault it was the games.
This one was a huge step up, even compared to the last game, which was already a big leap forward. The puzzles are great, the design is tight, and it’s awesome how it continues the same story from Together. The ending even hit me a bit emotionally, which I didn’t expect from this series. Easily the best one so far, super satisfying co-op experience.
Probably the best in the series so far. The quality of the game and puzzles are much better. But TMG needs to be careful about balancing puzzles. Some still feel one sided, where one person is responsible to figure out the entire thing and the other just does what they're told.
In my opinion, this is the best entry in the series. It features better puzzles, improved graphics, and a very beautiful ending. If you love puzzle games, this franchise is the gold standard, and this part is the pinnacle. Highly recommended to play with a partner who understands you well. 🌟7/10
Under appreciated game. Some parts were confusing but all is part of the experience.
Guessing what the game wants was the real challenge. Safe to say it wasn’t my thing.
