Its rough around the edges, but the gameplay is very cool. Command a tank solo if you want, or an armored company.
Tank Squad is not just a game; it's an opportunity for players to dive into WWII tank warfare in a sophisticated and interactive manner. While it is rough around the edges, its engaging gameplay mechanics, historical depth, and cooperative features offer both fun tank combat and bigger strategic play with command of other units. If you’re looking for a playable and promising tactical combat experience, Tank Squad is definitely worth exploring.
Im so devided on this Game, on one hand its BARELY a Game you can really play for a long time without getting a headache, but it also has a lot of potential. (The devs seem to be working on less important factors than getting a somewhat enjoyable experience) Also if the Developers ever see this- Unity as a game engine is just not strong enough for what youre trying to make
To begin with I was clearly hesitant, but after a couple of hours the game really picked up when you understood how everything worked, from handling your tanks correctly, grouping, repairing, refueling, customizing. Yes this became a favorite game, of course there are some small things to note especially the AI, but it doesn't feel like the developers are lagging behind. Good job I must say.
It's a pretty cool idea... And if it's one passionate dev alone in the darkness of the OMD 90 POL point... Than ya... Brilliant... If it's a whole team... They will need to really bring everything up a notch or 20... I'm an old Tanky at heart... Sooooo any tank games bring me some slight joy... This one has some great ideas... Feeeels a lot like the old Panzer Elite...
Overall, Its actually pretty fun - WW2 tank combat in a Warthunder style. BUT... For one thing, its definitely not for hardcore milsim types, since its not that realistic. AI is also really dumb right now, and you can complete most missions single-handedly without any support if you know what you're doing. TLDR: Shows promise, but pretty barebones right now. Recommend sitting on it for a while and letting the devs cook more stuff up and fix issues.
