I bought the game. Played 2 days in a row. 9 hours a day STRAIGHT. almost 18 hours total. I have no clue what i'm doing or what's going on, but it's hella fun.
Spawning sandwiched between a Fanatical Purifier, a Devouring Swarm, and a bunch of Pacifist layabouts (Read: losing my first ever run to pure ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ BS RNG) is ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ BS and it's stupid. Well, no more stupid than rolling 3 Nat Ones in a row, I guess.
spent 3 hours deciding what empire to play then purged everyone who wasn’t the same race as me not only did it make me feel relieved but it also saved my fps then the unbidden decided i didn’t deserve my empire sold a kidney to buy all the dlcs
(Have been playing since there used to be *tiles* on planets, good times~) Has the development and time and space to be the best 4x on the market, the late game lag is what has reallyyy been holding it back, so can only hope the new version updates actually manage to fix it finally at long last after multiple major core gameplay overhauls and changes
DLC farming is a higher priority than actually fixing major base-game issues. Normally I'd always end with "get it on sale", but with Paradox even on sale those countless DLCs will add up to a ridiculous amount ..
