One of my favorite games! the controls are super simple but reward you for learning. Lots of troop options makes it so each run can be vastly different.
Sands of Salzaar is an addicting game. At first I thought it is like a generic flash game but when I played it, I was hooked. Though the biggest downside would be the bugs, lots and lots of bugs. The immersion broke for me when I got to late game. All my heros and squads are in max level, by that time the UI was so broken that I had to reset my game constantly just to continue playing the game. I still have hope though, for the devs to fix it. Hopefully they will <3

The entire game is extremely unbalanced literally everything is either completely useless or extremely OP.
