This is an alternate fate branch of the original Scroll of Taiwu universe: without the Taiwu’s arrival, the Fuyu Sword is defeated by Xiangshu, plunging heaven and earth into shadow. Only Huanxin, the lingering spirit of the broken Fuyu Sword, drifts through the void in search of a glimmer of hope. Legend foretells that gathering the ten scattered divine swords trapped across this fractured realm is the sole means to suppress the calamity and restore order to creation. Against this backdrop, war-torn survivors from all walks of martial sects, each bound by personal obsessions and regrets, embark on a desperate quest to retrieve the ten sacred blades and slay fiends under Huanxin’s guidance and the shelter of the Conch Ark encampment. Xiangshu’s corruption unravels the world’s cosmic laws and spawns swarms of abyssal monsters. Familiar mountains, ancient sects, sacred weapons and age-old myths have twisted into lethal aberrations under the demonic plague. Wave after wave of foes besiege players within these blighted lands: ranging from stray fiends and elite mutated beasts to stage mini-bosses and avatars of Xiangshu himself. Cut through endless hordes to recover the lost divine swords scattered across the realm. Loot common, rare, epic and legendary divine armaments alongside potent alchemical elixirs to constantly refine your build and cleave through monster hordes with effortless dominance. Random world encounters also await: carps striving to leap the dragon’s gate, cricket catching rituals, monster sacrifices, treasure vault unlocks and rescuing trapped Spirit Attendants. Clearing these incidental challenges grants bonus rewards to tip the scales in your favour ahead of final boss confrontations. Following the world’s collapse, the sky-sailing Conch Ark serves as a permanent safe haven for all surviving wanderers. Beyond dungeon runs lies a thriving hub life. The Wanqu Folk tend to daily operations aboard the ark, supplying vital provisions and resources. A fledgling Sacred World Tree, nurtured by Nuwa’s residual divinity, grows steadily to grant passive buffs to all survivors. Old acquaintances and new NPC allies manage all camp services: gear refurbishment, character enhancement, ability unlocking and Spirit Attendant advancement to fully prepare you for future expeditions. You may swap playable protagonists, invite friends to join your runs or chat casually with residents, finding warmth and peace amid the shattered apocalyptic world. Not all living beings have fully succumbed to Xiangshu’s demonic corruption within blighted zones. Trapped by cursed mist chains, Tainted Spirits linger under fiendish influence, clinging to fragments of their sanity. Channel your pure vital energy to shatter their corrupt seals and restore their true forms. Upon successful purification, they become your bonded Spirit Attendants. Every companion bears a distinct personality, backstory and exclusive mystic combat abilities. Level up and invest resources to unlock their dormant power; bound by karmic pact, they join your party to stand beside you against every deadly trial.
