Planet of Lana II

Planet of Lana II is generating strong wishlist momentum ahead of its March 5, 2026 launch. The original Planet of Lana (2023) established developer Wishfully as masters of the cinematic puzzle platformer — breathtaking hand-painted environments, a wordless story told through action and emotion, and a charming alien companion in Mui. The sequel promises an expanded world, new tribes, and deeper stakes for Lana and Mui.

Notably, Planet of Lana II launches simultaneously on PC, Xbox (with Game Pass!), PlayStation 4/5, Nintendo Switch, and Nintendo Switch 2 — making it one of the biggest multiplatform indie launches of early 2026. A free demo has been available since February 11, letting players get a hands-on taste before launch.

Planet of Lana II: Children of the Leaf continues the story of Lana and Mui, her small cat-like alien companion. Set against a backdrop of tribal conflict tearing apart their home world, the sequel expands both the world and the emotional scope of the original. Where the first game was a survival story against an alien invasion, the sequel turns inward — asking what happens when the threat comes from within your own society.

Gameplay-wise, expect the same gorgeous hand-painted visual style that made the original so striking, plus Limbo/INSIDE-inspired puzzle design where you use Mui's unique abilities to solve environmental challenges. The sequel also introduces new biomes, tribes, and mechanical variety not seen in the first game.
