What the Community Is Saying
Players love the chaotic teamwork-focused gameplay and charming presentation, with reviews praising how well it tests communication and coordination in relationships. The main criticism is the lack of online multiplayer and that post-game content feels limited, especially for those who've already played the more polished Overcooked 2.
Great game for friends or couples who like to see how well they play together.
Fun and addictive game, also ideal for playing with someone else on a single keyboard and computer. The game challenges you to work well together and there are fun achievements to win. Highly recommended! The music and various themes are nicely designed and presented.
High recommend! Fun and challenging game for players
Yelling at myself because the other character that I was also controlling is a lazy bum who just stands around.
Probably should've played it before Overcooked 2, but since I played Overcooked 2 first, I have, throughout most levels, been desperate for the throwing mechanic. I absolutely despise the rats stealing my uncooked food. It's the perfect game for testing teamwork and collaboration skills and communication skills, I can't wait to play it again.
Overcooked 2 is a much better option here, unless you enjoy doing 2 people's work all by yourself. The game is still fun, but once you've played Overcooked 2, this just feels like a downgrade version of it. No ingredient throwing, no online co-op, and playing solo can get frustrating very quickly. 5/10
