What the Community Is Saying
Players rave about the unique mechanics and active-gameplay depth that outclass typical incrementals—one reviewer called it their favorite incremental ever. The tradeoff: this demands constant attention, so passive idlers should look elsewhere.
I finished 1.0 in pre-release testing (most of my time spent playing is older versions, though). It's amazing. This is my favorite incremental of all time, and one of my favorite games of all time.
Glad its almost time to ponder the orb once again, Best idle game i have played out of 100s, was afraid the dev was gone but glad to see they are back at it. Cant wait
I found this game on youtube back during one of the early access releases. It was the first incremental game I ever played. I've been obsessed with this genre ever since. Now that Orb is finally 1.0, I'm so excited to go back to my roots!
It's not an idle game. It's a full 20-40 hours of active optmization, always moving forward. My favorite incremental of all time, what an experience.
In the market oversaturated with the same incremental games, this is an amazing gem. Gem polished over many years, you can feel the love and work put into it. The mechanics are so unique, interesting and immerse, that this experience is difficult to find in any other incremental game.
This is why you don't do 3 years of updates without letting players test it to tell you you're taking it in the wrong direction. Release version is significantly more frustrating than the early access version that went without an update for so long people were convinced it was abandoned until the news at the start of June.
