Why Maseylia : Echoes of the Past Is Trending Right Now
Maseylia : Echoes of the Past launched 9 days ago with solid critical reception—82% positive across 17 reviews—but hasn't found mainstream traction yet (9-player peak CCU). The +0% trend suggests it's holding steady among early adopters rather than building momentum, which is typical for niche Metroidvania releases without marketing muscle.
This 3D Metroidvania stands out in a crowded exploration-shooter space with its interconnected world design and emphasis on fluid movement mechanics inspired by games like Sable. It targets the hardcore Metroidvania crowd—players who loved Hollow Knight, Subnautica, or Ender Lilies—rather than casual audiences, which explains the smaller but dedicated player base.

What the Community Is Saying
Players love the stunning art style, fluid movement mechanics, and rewarding non-linear exploration—many called it a refreshing take on the Metroidvania formula. The main tension is lack of mainstream awareness; the game is technically solid but hasn't found the viral momentum or streamers that would boost its modest 9-player peak.

Awesome metroidvania, each area was a blast to explore and some good dificult platforming, we need more 3d metroidvanias out there.
Good movement, nice design, you can tell its a passion project which is always a plus. Worth a try for a fun solo adventure
Really enjoying the game so far. Gorgeous art style that reminds me of Sable, the platforming and exploration are fun, and the enemies are just the right touch of difficulty (especially as someone who is an easy mode gamer). Tip: the default look sensitivity for controller is a bit high but that's adjustable in the settings.
