About Mahjong Kawuxing
Kawuxing, a type of mahjong gameplay, is particularly popular in some areas of Hubei Province, China. It is usually played by three people per round, with four people sitting at the same table and one person resting. Due to its special winning mechanism, where a player cannot make a small straight, and a four-six card combination counts as a four-combination win, it is colloquially known as "Five-Star Card". In the five-star mahjong game, there are only 84 cards in two colors: tiles and strips, with the characters "中", "发", and "白". Any pair of mahjong tiles can be used as a pair of tiles, and only touching is allowed without eating (except for winning). If a player wins, they must pay first (regardless of whether they ultimately win or not). After all the cards are dealt in each round, one card must be played out. If no one wins, the round is declared a "barren round" (no "sea catch"), and the player who did not listen to the winning tile must pay the house. The five-star mahjong rule is simple, the speed of winning a hand is fast, and it is widely favored by mahjong enthusiasts. Moreover, with a maximum of eight points, the loss in one round is relatively small, making it more popular among ordinary people than other mahjong games.
