When I first got this game I started a new world, wandered around, tried to mine some copper, was mercilessly beat into the ground like a street dog by 30 starving losers, and bled to death. I then closed the game, didn't play it for 3 years, developed full sentience, and opened the game again. 2165 hours.
Personal experience tip, get rich and gain numbers. Don't fight by yourself.
Kenshi is unique. There's nothing like it. The simplicity, the brutality, the melancholy, all with a perfect placed gameplay that just... makes sense. Kenshi is so deep in what is proposed that at some point you realize you are not playing, but living its world, getting connected with it, hating it, laughing, fighting, mourning, planning, discovering, failling, conquering... A hard surviving game that, if you get into it, will mark you forever, because no other game offer what Kenshi does.
Pretty Similar to Mount and Blade Warband, but if you get taken Prisoner, you won't only lose some Money or Companions but might also lose a leg or arm or two.
Started off with one arm and no pants. Got beat up because of my race. Every time I regained consciousness, I would get beaten up again before I could move. Died in my own oil. Beautiful.
I didn't like it. I don't think this game aged well and the amount of commitment it requires is just huge. You literally may lose everything anytime, and micro manage your crew is impossible. You have to keep grinding, grinding, up to the point it isn't fun anymore. Some interesting building mechanics but that s all. Not worth it.
