It's pure adrenaline for players who want to *learn* a game rather than coast through it. If you're burned out on AAA shooters, Hotline Miami offers jaw-dropping aesthetic and mechanical depth for less than a dollar.

What the Community Is Saying
Players are obsessed with the tactical brutality, neon aesthetic, and synth soundtrack—it's a John Wick simulator disguised as pixel art. The main criticism: difficulty spikes and a steep learning curve alienate casual players, and the campaign is short.
This game was gifted to me in 2016, by a guy that used to be my friend. After gifting me the game, he proceeded to write to my ex and bang her. Bros and hoes are momentary, Jacket is eternal. 10\10, made me relive the trauma after all these years
The sleazy neon haze, garish colors, and hypnotic soundtrack pull me into a trance. Wearing an animal mask and leaving humanity behind, I lose myself in a fever dream of neon, violence, and blood.
actually peak, i love the story, and the sounds and visuals are on fire. top 5 games of all time
This is the perfect John Wick simulator. Hotline Miami has everything a gamer wants: action, blood, great soundtrack and a weird story. I love how you start dying and dying every time and, without notice, at the end you will be able to dodge bullets and make perfect scores. Today I 100% the game and was pure satisfaction.
I hopped on this game late. At first it seemed too chatioc and fast-paced but quite quickly you begin to notice how tactical play allows you to pass difficult bits of the game.
Runs TOO fast on my PC. Even with V-sync turned on. Nothing like the vids I see on the store page. Unplayable.
