Spent many hours playing Race of Champions ROC back in the DOS days, so this game is for me. I went hog wild and put everything to the test, and, well... It worked brilliantly, until 46 of my secret lovers got preggo on the same day. At that point it got stuck in a email pregnancy notification loop and I was unable to advance anymore in time. I also mysteriously had 400 more horses appear in my main stable out of nowhere. I think I broke it... I guess I will have to start over.
I like the game and the concept. I made a horse with the editor and i lost multiple races with a 5 star horse against 2 star horses. Makes no sense. Hopefully that gets fixed. A 2 star horse and a 5 star horse should not be equal. Overall i give a B- right now in its current state.
If you liked browser-based horse breeding and showing sims, you'll like this game. It's not perfect but it is fun.
This is a great horse racing game with frequent updates from the developer. It also seems like they really listen to community feedback. I'm a longtime player of horse racing games, having started with Gallop Racer, and can say that this game is one of the best horse racing games currently out there.
Very good game! I love it! Of course some bugs are there but I haven't cross anything serious. I hope that in future you can race in gallop and trotting. I hate to chose only one!
I would really like to enjoy this game. I just don't understand the racing simulation engine. Horses can finish a minute behind the winner, easy. The fields are so spread out. It just does not resemble an actual horse race. Maybe I'm missing something but that is immersion breaking for me and so I refunded. Checked the demo just now and its still the same.
