Players rave about proximity voice chat creating unforgettable hilarious moments and the historically absurd Napoleonic/WW1 setting enabling massive community-driven battles. Main criticism: the -37% 7-day decline and modest 2,565 CCU signal a shrinking playerbase that struggles to retain players between content updates.

First 5 minutes into a match and a *very* British sounding fellow charged me with a bayonet saying he was going to do vile things to me then spit on my corpse. This game did not disappoint, however it feels like a majority of the playerbase is slightly ♥♥♥♥ erotic, very historically accurate tbh.

10/10 Game. Highly recommend for the community and attention the dev team gives to its player base.

Glory to Her Majesty the Queen! One of the funniest proximity voice chat games with one of the most wholesome communities. It’s absolute comedy standing in line, musket in hand, waiting to get reduced to atoms by a cannonball straight to the forehead. But it’s a fine way to go if your musician is playing white girl music in the background for everyone to hear. Glory to the 44th!

AHOY! started playing again to when age of sail update dropped. INCREDIBLY FUN. you WILL get lost in the game. Start playing? 10 pm. next thing you know it's 6 in the morning and youre still singing sea shanties and shouting at the french as a pirate. Definitely recommend. 10/10 game

👎 Not Recommended 152h played

this was a fun game but there is a clan that plays, (they are now Admins) and they cheat by teleporting places to put down spawn camps so the game is not fun to play anymore so if you play do not play the front lines version.

Should You Play It? Pros & Cons

✅ Reasons to Play

  • 91% positive reviews (19,222 total)—exceptional confidence rating for sustained quality and developer support
  • Proximity voice chat creates emergent hilarity and genuine social bonding within tight-knit factions
  • 150+ players per server enable truly large-scale chaos that feels epic and unpredictable
  • Only $9.99 entry cost with optional cosmetic DLC—unmatched value for historical multiplayer fans

❌ Things to Consider

  • -37% 7-day player decline suggests momentum is fading without recent content drops
  • 2,565 peak CCU is niche—expect longer queues outside primetime, especially for specific servers
  • Napoleonic/WW1 historical setting and deliberate absurdist tone won't appeal to competitive FPS players
