Why Halo Infinite Is Trending Right Now

Halo Infinite is still attracting attention despite a brutal -83% player drop over 7 days. The 24h peak of just 3,144 players signals a franchise in decline for a game that launched at millions. The 68% mixed review score reflects split opinions: strong campaign co-op praise undermined by heavy monetization criticism.

As a free-to-play AAA shooter with a full open-world campaign and co-op, Halo Infinite sits between casual and hardcore audiences. It's built for players who want blockbuster production values and Halo nostalgia without the entry fee, but the community consensus is it's a rental experience rather than a long-term multiplayer home.

Players love the campaign's scale and co-op co-experience—it's the best Halo campaign in years. The core criticism: 343 Industries' aggressive battle pass and cosmetic monetization overshadows gameplay, and the multiplayer lacks the depth to retain players against competitors.

Halo Infinite is probably the best halo in terms of gameplay and feel since halo 4. The multiplayer is fun and the story mode is not bad either. 343 dropped the ball by making the progression strictly about battle pass and pumping money into cosmetics. The ranking system from a game like Halo 2 would have been awesome.

Campaign was great. Best yet for Halo. Bit repetitive. Multiplayer is what it is. Never been big on Halo multiplayer but played some rounds and it was Halo multiplayer. Got into games quick, it worked fine, plenty of variety.

Its really good, Halo has to go somewhere and while this game isnt perfect it modernizes the old game style we love well enough. Nothing will ever feel quite the same as those XBlive days but we have to keep on keeping on'

Great game, shame on the monetization used and the lack of content by Microsoft side, Halo could be great, if managed properly

Been waiting a long time to play this one! Recently finished the campaign in coop with my brother. It's great. Multiplayer is quite fun too. A very good Halo!

I see that microsoft no longer pretends to care... Doesn't feel like a proper halo game, community is basically dead. Go buy Halo Master Chief Collection, way more people online and the games it comes with are phenomenal classics.
