FOR HONOR™ — Is It Worth Playing in 2026?

7,825 players at 24-hour peak
PC (Steam) Rpg $1.49 Mixed 80,558 reviews

Why FOR HONOR™ Is Trending Right Now

For Honor is losing momentum fast—down 51% in weekly players despite a $1.49 price tag. With 7,825 peak concurrent players and a 69% positive rating from 80,558 reviews, it's clinging to a niche audience 9 years post-launch. The community is split: passionate loyalists vs. burned-out players frustrated by late-game features.

For Honor's hero-based 1v1 melee combat is genuinely different from other fighting games—no button mashers here, pure read-and-react mechanics. It splits between story campaign, PvP duels, and team modes across five factions (Knights, Vikings, Samurai, Wu Lin, Outlanders). If you're tired of hero shooters and want pure mechanical skill-based combat, this is your lane.

Players obsess over the skill-based melee combat and faction variety—'Stockholm Syndrome' levels of engagement. The deal-breaker: brutal grind gates progression, and 5+ years of waiting for crossplay killed momentum before it arrived.

Best game you'll ever hate. This game is like an abusive relationship, getting abused and leaving but eventually you make your way back to it. It calls back to you like the devils temptations.

I have undergone testicular torsion and it was by far more pleasurable then the godforsaken creation that is For Honor

Dying game due to adding features way too late. the core gameplay and idea is amazing, but taking 5 or so years to add crossplay, progress sync, and STILL releasing OP chars means this game will never rise up again.

👍 Recommended 240h played

This game will take your soul. The grind is insane but the fun you get when you get good is so so nice.

every character they add make the game more unplayable
