Why Eyes Of The ElderWood Is Trending Right Now

Eyes Of The ElderWood just launched 2 days ago with a perfect 100% review score across 6 players who've posted feedback. While it hasn't hit major player numbers yet (0 peak CCU in 24h), the 100% positive rating and strong word-of-mouth on the spell system suggest this $5.39 indie title is finding its niche audience despite minimal visibility.

The spell-drawing combat system stands out against typical horror-shooters—you're solving puzzles and managing a sanity mechanic rather than running and gunning. This hybrid approach appeals to players who want horror with mechanical depth. Best suited for indie horror fans comfortable with early-access jank who care more about unique systems than polish.

Players love the spell-drawing system and enemy design—it's mechanically interesting and visually solid. Main complaint: controls feel clunky, enemies need better balance, and UI needs polish (missing rune indicators), but the core concept is strong enough to forgive launch rough edges.

First impressions: Game seems cool, i could wish for dialogue to be less casual. Mortimer being a demon can tonally get away with a lot but our main character seems awfully chill for her situation. The rune system is cool though an indicator for what rune is selected would be great.

I like the main idea of the game. Just a couple mentions: -Make the enemies a bit more aggressive there are a few situations when you can skip them really easy. -I like the idea of each enemies is weak to certain spells. -The second level is to bright it doesn't feel to spooky. In general it was good. ദ്ദി(ᵔᗜᵔ)

This is pretty neat so far, I really liked the enemy design in this game. I don't know anything about Kashubian folklore so learning more about that is a treat. I also thought the spell system was unique and pretty cool. I'll definitely be coming back for the next update.
