What the Community Is Saying
Players love the refined combat, killer weapon variety, and pacing that balances action with horror. The main knock: it leans more into action than the original, losing some pure horror tension—but most agree it's still a top-tier survival horror experience.
A great sequel to Dead Space! A satisfying gameplay, good storyline, and more horror stuff! I love this. :)
It's excellent. As excellent as the first game. All killer no filler. Don't know which one I like better, the first game is clearly a better horror, but the second one has much more refined combat. Makes you think about times when western AAA studios just made straight up bangers, no ifs no buts.
If Dead Space is comparable to Alien, then Dead Space 2 is comparable to Aliens. A stolid sequel to the first game overall. Be sure to first apply the Marker Patch to fix the game and choose which DLC packs to keep in the store.
Not as good as the first one but it's still a great experience, especially compared with modern day slop. Mouse fix is recommended.
Even though I love the original and the remake, Dead Space 2 is easily my favorite game in the franchise. It’s very replayable, the kills are great, and the weapons are awesome. There’s a lot of action, but it still keeps the important horror elements. It’s one of the best horror games ever made, buy it!
EA are a truly awful company. Because I've used up all my activations I can't run the game anymore. I contacted them to get more and they tried to pass the buck to steam. Now I have a game I bought that I can't even use. Bunch of lying shysters.
