Cursemark — Is It Worth Playing in 2026?

138 players at 24-hour peak
PC (Steam) Rpg $14.99 Very Positive 274 reviews

Why Cursemark Is Trending Right Now

Cursemark launched on June 8 and has maintained solid momentum with a 94% positive rating across 274 reviews. Despite a modest 138-player 24h peak, the 0% trend suggests a stable, engaged niche audience rather than hype decline.

It fills a specific gap: a roguelite action-platformer with Path of Exile-style gem/rune crafting. The power system—slotting modifiers into 4 equipped skills—appeals to build-theorycrafters. Players note it "doesn't feel like an EA game," even though content is deliberately limited.

Players love the build variety and gem-slotting system—it's the main draw. The core gripe: early access means limited content, and players are hungry for 10x more bosses, talismans, and weapons to experiment with.

amazing game. if you liked hades you'll have a great time with this one. it has a power system similar to path of exile, you choose 4 skills and then slot gems in them that have multiple effects, like bigger aoe, explode on death or more projectiles. doesnt feel like an EA game

Very fun, except when the enemies super armor and beat your ass. Still, knight with sword game my beloved.

very promising game, already pretty solid in the current state!

Really fun game! Mechanics are interesting, good build variety and if you get lucky you can get an absolutely broken build. Still in early access so there's only a fraction of the total content right now but what's here shows promise. There were some minor bugs where it wouldn't let me cast abilities but I still managed to beat everything so I'm not too bothered.

bro this game is 10/10, i just wish it had like 10x more of everything monsters, bosses, runes, talismans, spells n weapons, hopefully a talent tree, more vendors, finding permanent equippable gear to more lean into different builds etc, a way to sell/reroll or combine talismans

Should You Play It? Pros & Cons

✅ Reasons to Play

  • 94% positive reviews (274 ratings) — rare consensus for an early-access roguelite
  • Deep build variety: 4-skill gem/rune system creates wildly different playstyles
  • Action combat that rewards skill and strategy, not just power scaling
  • Polished presentation belies early-access status—feels like a finished game

❌ Things to Consider

  • Ultra-niche audience (138 peak CCU) — don't expect community guides or clip moments
  • Early access with limited content — players explicitly want 10x more bosses, weapons, and talismans
  • Enemy super armor can feel cheap; some balance rough edges (broken ability-casting bugs reported)

Common Questions About Cursemark

Is Cursemark worth buying in 2026?

Yes, if you love roguelikes and build crafting. The 94% review score from 274 players is exceptional for early access, and the PoE-style gem slotting system delivers on replayability. At $14.99, it's a low-risk bet for 20–40+ hours of roguelike content.

How many players does Cursemark have?

138 peak in the last 24 hours, with a flat 0% 7-day trend. The playerbase is small but stable, suggesting devoted fans rather than mainstream appeal.

Is Cursemark multiplayer or co-op?

No—Cursemark is single-player only. It's a roguelite where you play solo as the cursed mage-knight.

How long does it take to beat Cursemark?

A single run typically takes 3–5 hours depending on difficulty and skill. Early access limits total content, so expect 30–50 hours to see most builds and bosses. As the developer adds more enemies, runes, and weapons, playtime will scale.
