Classified: France '44 — Is It Worth Playing in 2026?

Finished the game in 18h playtime. If you like the WW2 scenario and Xcom style game combined, go for it! Before buying i read reviews that there were bugs (i did not encounter a single bug) and that there are endless waves of re-enforcement ruining the game - this was also no problem as they only appear when the objective is done and you are supposed to run, not endlessly fight. Overall a really solid game.

Really fun game - of course it's a fiddly, tricky beggar... that's the challenge. I don't get the criticisms, particularly at the price this gets promoted at these days - loads to enjoy for your money imho

WW2 Xcom. How can you go wrong with that? I honestly feel like this game should get a lot more attention. I love that you can gain reputation with factions, choose your missions, and choose your party members. It is a super fun take on WW2 games. Having the game set before the D-Day invasion of Europe is a unique quality as well!

Very fun but relatively short. Good bones and really hope to see the devs build on that. Would be cool to see other wars or events. If you've enjoyed Xcom you'll enjoy this a lot.

I liked to strategy to it all. The story is passable but I can't see a reason to replay it.

I feel like almost every WWII game made in the last 10 years have exactly the same characters, and this game feels like a textbook example. I think they were genuinely trying to make me feel like I was leading a squad of individual badasses, but it just felt like a parade of unmemorable cliches, and by the time I got through the tutorial and into the story proper I had already stopped caring.
