Why Celeste Is Trending Right Now
Celeste is holding strong with 2,024 peak players on a random Tuesday, proof that tight level design and emotional storytelling don't age. At 97% positive across 64,581 reviews, this is one of the most universally loved platformers ever made—period.
Unlike trend-chasing indie platformers, Celeste earned its reputation through obsessive craft: hand-crafted levels, pixel-perfect controls, and a soundtrack by Lena Raine that hits different. It's built for players who want both accessibility (easy mode exists) and brutal challenge (B-sides, C-sides, moon berry hunts).

What the Community Is Saying
Players universally praise the tight controls, fair design, and emotional narrative—especially Lena Raine's soundtrack. The main criticism: it's brutal if you don't use assist options, and there's zero multiplayer for those seeking co-op.
even on my 2nd playthrough, i remembered everything about this game 1st playthrough was (Aug 9, 2023), almost 3 years ago, thats the beauty of this 2D platformer masterclass, the best ever. fav chapter- 6 least fav chapter- 5
look, i did all the b's, all the c's, and even got the moon berry. But in the end I am still straight and I like tall pretty women and also this game blows anyways 10/10
One of the greatest platformers of all time. Lots of interesting mechanics, all with smooth and responsive controls. 10/10
One of the best stories I've ever played through, with my GOAT Lena Raine providing immaculate atmosphere. Not too long, took me just over 5 hours and I'm no god at sidescrollers. Easy enough to beat if you're more on the casual side, with plenty of challenge in collectibles and additional content if you're hungry for more.
this uh review is made a little while after i played the game for the first time. okay, a lot a while after. probably 3 years-ish. this game is a really nice exploration of self. we've all got a badeline. but you don't have to let her be you. play celeste. and don't let your deaths discourage you. push through. be a better person. you can do it.
While a very cute and interesting platformer, i ultimately simply do not enjoy it. If you are into fairly punishing high precision platformers, you will probably have fun, but for most others i doubt it.
