It is a fun rpg and i really like the card combat component. and I really like the story
Great game. I love the artwork and the story. Cool voice acting as well. The cardgame aspect is well done, but once you get certain cards it becomes very easy to combo, even on the highest difficulty most battles last 1-3 rounds at most if you have the right combo to spam over and over. I would love for the devs to work on a similar game in the future.
As far as a combat RPG type game goes, Black Book is reasonably simple in design yet holds some compelling mechanics that offer various strategies. The story contains some interesting Russian/Slavic mythology that is blended well into the story. Very enjoyable if you are looking for a game that is easy to pick up and a story that is interesting without being overly complicated.

the main element of the game, the card battling, just kinda sucks. And all the other aspects of the game, like the story, inventory mechanics, cutscenes, dialogue, are not interesting enough to keep you engaged or motivated to deal with the ♥♥♥♥♥♥ card game.
