Why Beyond the Map Is Trending Right Now
Beyond the Map is holding steady at 274 concurrent players with flat 7-day growth (+0%), suggesting a small but loyal playerbase 6 months post-launch. The 77% positive rating across 273 reviews indicates strong core mechanics despite slow growth—it's maintaining, not surging.
Players consistently praise the combat-crafting loop as 'entertaining' and 'satisfying,' with procedural generation powering replayability. The critical pain point: multiple reviews mention multiplayer confusion—the game supports co-op but players can't figure out how to connect, hindering social appeal.

What the Community Is Saying
Players love the fast-paced combat and satisfying crafting loop, but the game desperately needs 3x more content and 4x more polish. Multiplayer confusion is costing it community playtime.
Oh, my God! That was awesome!) the full moon surprised me, I decided to go through 2 times and did not regret it, made the maximum difficulty, and started the game as an archer, thank you again for playing a gorgeous but short game!)
Hello! So google says that this game can be multiplayer and the game has options like friendly fire which would suggest its multiplayer also. How do I play it with a friend? We both just bought it and are trying to play together and cant figure it out.
A very very enjoyable top down hack and slash + crafting game. Combat is entertaining and the crafting is satisfying... what more could you ask for :-) Very much looking forward to seeing the game develop further!
Extremely good bones to this game, but needs about 3x more content and 4x more QoL stuff. Still giving it a thumbs up, because it IS quite fun to play. I can see it getting really repetitive as it is, though.
Can't wait for 1.0, it has good bones and good mechanics. We will revisit this when it releases.
There is a spot where you kill earth elementals with no way to get back up to the surface.. you have to hit unstuck, and you're punished by losing your entire inventory that you will get stuck again while retrieving??
