Battlefield™ V — Is It Worth Playing in 2026?

3,726 players at 24-hour peak
PC (Steam) Shooter $49.99 Mostly Positive 41,363 reviews

Why Battlefield™ V Is Trending Right Now

Battlefield V is trending for the wrong reasons: a catastrophic -90% player drop over the past 7 days has crashed it to just 3,726 peak players. Despite 71% positive reviews praising its fast-paced WWII gunplay and customization depth, the aging 2020 shooter is being systematically abandoned in favor of EA's newer titles.

Among WWII shooters, BF V stands out for its squad-based vehicle combat, deep cosmetic progression, and responsive gunplay—making it superior to the universally panned Battlefield 2042. Best suited for hardcore FPS fans willing to stick with a shrinking community, not casual players looking for populated servers.

Players love the fast-paced WWII gunplay, weapon customization, and solid squad mechanics—genuine praise for one of the better Battlefield titles ever made. The main criticism: missing Eastern Front content and being rapidly abandoned by EA in favor of the poorly-received Battlefield 2042.

The biggest regret in gaming history—being the best World War II battlefield game but not including the Eastern Front Soviet-German war. 游戏史上最大的遗憾——作为最好的二战题材大战场游戏却没有东线苏德战争

The best battlefield series after battlefield 3 and 4. EA forgot they could make games like this, and instead made trash games like 2042

This game is an excellent choice for those who enjoy fast-paced shooter games. Not entirely the best for the Battlefield game series, but it's there. Graphics feel alright.

No game is nearly as good as Battlefield 1, but it is okay.

This is my first time playing a game in the Battlefield series. I wasn't interested in FPS games like this before, but now this game has turned the FPS genre into my current hobby. Everyone should play it, so great! I think I'll try some other Battlefield games too in future

Great WW2 FPS game! But ... the game no longer works on Linux due to its new Anti Cheat DRM!!!
