What the Community Is Saying
Players love the co-op atmosphere, voice-reactive fear mechanic, and exceptional value for $13.99. Main complaints: linear level design doesn't capture true Backrooms randomness, and inconsistent voice acting occasionally undercuts horror immersion.
ShimStudioGames > AAA Studios Graphics 10/10 Story? YES Survival? Sure COOP? oh hell yeah Absolute Cinema? Absolutely (Not finished the game but defo worth a tenner)
Fun game to play with friends. A decent story building up, can't wait for the next release. Only complaint would be trying to figure out how the blue print system works. Maybe i just skipped over it but i was not able to figure out what to do with them. Still for the price this is a good recommendation. Better with friends.
Fun. It has backrooms themes but its hard to really call it a classic backrooms type of game. the levels are very linear, voice acting is a bit silly at times, especially with all the quips from the player character. For only having 1 chapter the game is good fun for the small price. If you like the backrooms its definitely a game to check out.
Amazing game so far. Great price, if your looking for a fun game with friends, BUY THIS! it's so worth it
Очень крутая атмосферная игра. Брайан лысая тварь. Смайлеры которые "i see you" страшные что ♥♥♥♥♥♥ и еще и слышат тебя.
I was expecting this to be better than all of the other backrooms games I have played based on the description. I rank this one last. - Saw the monsters like twice. Not scary at all compared to the other games. - Too linear - Crafting is pointless, I found all the craft able items in the world. - Clunky combat - Voice acting was really bad....

Common Questions About Backrooms Lost Runners
Is Backrooms Lost Runners worth buying in 2026?
Yes, if you play co-op. The 80% positive rating (182 reviews) confirms the $13.99 price is fair. Players consistently praise it as a smart value buy that doesn't sacrifice atmosphere or mechanics for the cost. Low risk for squad-based horror fans.
How many players does Backrooms Lost Runners have?
226 peak concurrent players in its first 24 hours—solid for a niche co-op horror title 11 days post-launch. The +0% trend means player count has plateaued rather than grown, typical for early-access horror games with single-chapter content.
Is Backrooms Lost Runners multiplayer or co-op?
Pure co-op—designed specifically for team play with voice-reactive AI that listens to player audio and responds to sound levels. No PvP, no singleplayer campaign, no crossplay confirmed. Squad-based only.
How long does it take to beat Backrooms Lost Runners?
Current release is Chapter 1 only. Reviews suggest a short-to-medium campaign (exact playtime not specified in community feedback), but the $13.99 price and single-chapter structure indicate 2-4 hours for main story. Developers have teased future chapters.
