Why Assassin's Creed Valhalla Is Trending Right Now
Assassin's Creed Valhalla is holding 4,636 peak players 1,183 days post-launch, but trending sharply downward with a -64% week-over-week decline. Despite mixed 68% positive reviews from 14,843 players, it remains relevant as a budget-friendly $14.99 RPG option.
Valhalla differentiates itself through raid mechanics and settlement building—features rarely paired in open-world RPGs. It's purpose-built for completionists and narrative-driven gamers willing to invest 100+ hours, not for players seeking tightly paced experiences.

What the Community Is Saying
Players love the Norse setting, character depth, and satisfaction from raiding and town building. Main criticism: excessive collectibles and points of interest make 100% completion feel like a chore.
It can't be considered an Assassins Creed game. But it's definitely a great RPG. If you plan on finishing the story along with other things like finding collectibles, completing puzzles, etc., it's a long and time-consuming game. So if you're willing to spend a significant amount of time on this game, give it a try. It's not the best but it's not bad either. Enjoy :)
2nd play through, and for people complaining that its too long?? That's the whole point and purpose of a game like this. I've enjoyed most every second, and its easy in an open-world campaign like this to just avoid the section you don't enjoy.
Fantastic game, great story! Played three times, well worth it.
sometimes i don't understand where all the hate comes from. yes the game is overloaded with unimportant points of interest. still, the setting, the landscape and the meta game mechanics (raiding, town building) make me spend hours on it. give it an extended try when on sale.
8/10 Story, 5/10 Mechanics, 1/10 Collectables, 6/10 DLC, 10/10 characters and NPC, 8/10 Graphics, overall its not a great game but i liked the Norse story telling linking it to the modern Era.......going to give a solid 6/10 to the game the major flaw of this game is trying to do 100% feels like punishment rather than fun other than that i enjoyed the plot very much
Too long, too boring and bloated, janky combat and mechanics
