Why Assassin's Creed® Odyssey Is Trending Right Now

Odyssey is experiencing a 70% player drop over the past 7 days, yet maintains 7,160 peak concurrent players with an 89% positive review score from 60,487 reviews. Despite launching in 2018, the game continues to attract a stable audience, likely driven by seasonal sales and renewed interest in open-world narrative-driven RPGs. The sharp weekly decline suggests a recent surge—possibly from a discount—that's now normalizing.

Odyssey distinguishes itself through its expansive Ancient Greece setting and Kassandra-driven narrative, appealing to both traditional Assassin's Creed fans and open-world RPG enthusiasts. At $11.99, it's an accessible entry for players seeking 100+ hours of story-focused content without live-service time gates, making it a solid value proposition in a market dominated by live-service games.

Players consistently praise Kassandra's compelling narrative arc, immersive Ancient Greece world-building, and breathtaking scenery as standout elements. The primary criticism centers on severe content bloat in side quests—many recommend the main story path to avoid repetitive padding and a grinding late-game experience.

Amazing game, I played it and beat it, unlocked every achievement and found everything on all maps. Amazing story and the close friendships with Kassandra closes friends made me feel even more for the characters. What a good game this was.

Game by itself is fantastic. It beats Origins in many goals. The only thing that i don't like is that mercenaries aka Bounty Hunters are infinite. So you can't kill them all

Not really an Assassins Creed game but it is a fantastic game overall

I got scammed by ubisoft once again. You buy the game, it does not activate. Ubisoft support tells you that it cannot do anything, steam refuses to refund 2 weeks after purchase.... this was the last time I was buying ANYTHING from ubisoft.
