played this game sincce i was 6 years old, and im still pretty bad a it. but its fun.
[h1] 8.5/10 [/h1] I think games like aoe2, wc3, sc2 will carry the rts genre for at least 5 to 10 years more, so if you are thinking to get it to get into RTS this is it. The balance is excellent, the civ variety is huge, and the gameplay still rewards skill and knowledge over gimmicks. Single player and multiplayer are both strong.
Yay, childhood memories brought back in beautiful nostalgia. Sadly they removed the civilization history tab that you could read up on the civs. As a history lover, this is very sad to me, but the rest of the game is just better now. You can actually tell your AI allies commands now in order to ensure victory! If you want walls for AI, choose CD AI!!!
This game already was the best in the series, but they are still working on it. It's a 25+ Y/O game that's still receiving updates, still has an amazing community, still has a strong competitive scene...It's a must have for anyone that enjoys the genre.
There is no doubt that this is the best AOE series, a game that has been around for quite a while, but many people still play it, even the newest series is still inferior to AOE 2. This is a masterpiece
Game now takes control of my mic, which turns off audio from other apps. I can downgrade the Bluetooth codec, but at that point I'm sacrificing sound quality. First MCC did it, now this. It feels like Microsoft just wants to sell as much of your personal information as possible, and it doesn't care how much it enshittifies their product in the process
